This Hadith proves that this supplication can be used anytime and after Salah, like a dua after Salah. In this Hadith, Abu d-Darda’s wife asked him how Muslims can be forgiven while sleeping. He said when he wakes up at night and performs Salah, he talks about Tahajjud Salah, which should be offered with the dua for Tahajjud. You can also recite the dua for forgiveness to invoke Allah’s mercy.
