Salatul Ibrahimiyyah in Arabic

Salatul Ibrahimiyyah English translation
Here is the English translation of Salatul Ibrahimiyaah.
O Allah, send Your peace and blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your peace and blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious
Salatul Ibrahimiyyah meaning
The idea behind reciting Salatul Ibrahimiyyah in every Salah is to invoke Allah’s blessings upon the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his family. We are asking Allah to send his blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his family just like Allah has blessed Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) and his family.
We are then praising Allah by saying; you are the only praiseworthy and glorious. This is done repeatedly, five times a day, daily.
What are the benefits of receiving Salatul Ibrahimiyyah?
Reciting Salatul Ibrahimiyyah during Salah has a lot of benefits. Some of these are listed below.
1- Fulfilling a Sunnah: Reciting Salatul Ibrahimiyyah is part of the prayer practice taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), making it a Sunnah. Observing this practice demonstrates obedience to his teachings and love for the Prophet. Reciting Salatul Ibrahimiyyah is transmitted in Sahih al-Bukhari 3370.
2- Gaining Allah’s Blessings and Mercy: By sending blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his family, we seek Allah’s mercy and blessings for ourselves. It is said that for each blessing we send upon the Prophet, Allah sends ten blessings upon us in return. You can also recite dua for success, dua for rizq, etc, to gain Allah’s bounties.
3—Strengthening Connection with the Prophet: Reciting Salatul Ibrahimiyyah fosters a deep love and respect for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), reminding Muslims of his immense sacrifice, guidance, and mercy. We must send Salawaat upon the Holy Prophet by saying ‘Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam‘ and reciting Tasbih for his blessing.
4- Following Divine Command: Allah commands believers in the Quran to send blessings upon the Prophet:
“Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.” — Surah Al-Azhab Verse 56
5- Seeking Intercession on the Day of Judgment: Reciting Salatul Ibrahimiyyah frequently is believed to bring the Prophet’s intercession on the Day of Judgment, providing assistance and mercy when we need it most. Here is the dua for Jannah and dua for the dead. We recommend the recitation of Surah Mulk and Surah Yaseen to save yourself from hellfire.
6- Earning Allah’s Forgiveness and Elevating Status: The act of sending blessings on the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is known to purify one’s soul, remove sins, and elevate the individual in rank before Allah. Here is the best dua for forgiveness and Surah Kahf, which will save you from the torments of the grave.
7- Receiving Peace and Serenity: Many Muslims find that the consistent recitation of Salatul Ibrahimiyyah brings inner peace, helps manage stress, and strengthens their relationship with Allah through a focus on gratitude and love for the Prophet. You can also recite the 2nd and 3rd Kalam to have inner peace.
