Jannah is a beautiful place with everything we can desire. It is paradise, where all the Prophets and Messengers of Allah live, and all Muslims strive to enter it. It is the best reward of the afterlife and a place of eternal life and happiness.
This blog will discuss the best dua to enter Jannah from the Holy Quran and Hadith. We will also discuss what you can do to avoid hellfire and enter paradise.
Best dua for Jannah in the Quran
Dua for Jannah in English: Rabbi habli hukmaw-wa al-hiqni bis-saliheen, waj’al-li lisana sidqin fil aakhireen, waj’alni mew-warathati jannatin-na’eem.
Translation: My Lord! Grant me wisdom, and join me with the righteous. Bless me with an honorable mention among later generations. Make me one of those awarded the Garden of Bliss (paradise).
Explanation: The verse is taken from Surah Ash-Shuara Verses 83-85. In the verse, Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) is replying to the non-believers that It is Allah who has created him and guides him.
He heals him when he is sick and provides food and drinks. Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) then recited this dua for Jannah and asked Allah to forgive his flaws on Judgment day. We can mimic the same supplication to ask Jannah and say the 6th Kalma to strengthen our belief in Allah.
Powerful Dua to Enter Jannah
Here is the best dua to enter Jannah from Sahih Hadith. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) recommended this supplication for entering paradise.
(3x) للّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَسْأَلُـكَ الجَـنَّةَ وأََعوذُ بِـكَ مِـنَ الـنّار
Dua to enter Jannah in English: Allāhumma innī as’aluka ‘l-jannah wa a`ūdhu bika minan-nār.
Translation: O Allah, I ask You for Paradise, and I seek Your protection from the Fire.
Hadith: It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “Whoever asks for Paradise, three times, Paradise will say: “O Allah, admit him to Paradise.” And whoever asked to be saved from Hell, three times, Hell will say: “O Allah, save him from Hell.” —Sunan Ibn Majah 4340
Explanation: if you want something desperately, you will try to do everything in your power to have it. The same is true when entering Jannah; a Muslim does good deeds, stays away from evil deeds, and repents from sins to enter Jannah in the hereafter.
However, we should also ask Allah to give us paradise in the afterlife. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) recommends that we ask Allah for paradise (three times). And who asked for paradise three times will be granted, Inshallah. You can also recite other supplications and dua for forgiveness to get saved from hell.

Hadith: Ali (RA) said: I heard God’s Messenger say on the timbers of this pulpit, “If anyone recites the Throne verse (Al-Qur’an; 2:255) at the end of every prayer, nothing but death will prevent him from entering paradise; and if he recites it when he goes to bed, God will grant security to his house, his neighbour’s house, and the inhabitants of the little dwellings around him.”—Mishkat al-Masabih 974
