A person blessed with good health can do anything. He can offer Salah in the mosque, do his daily tasks, and spend time with his family. However, if you get sick, then the world turns upside down. Everything seems to change, and you only want good health.

We have previously discussed the dua for sickness, the dua for healing, etc. This blog will define the best dua for good health and long life, the benefits of reciting it, and the best things to do for good health.

Dua for good health and pain relief

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ x3

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ x7

Dua for Pain in English transliteration: Bismillah. A’udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru.

Dua for Pain English translation: In the name of Allah. I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) would recite ‘Bismillah’ three times over the affected area and then say, ‘A’udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru’ seven times.

Hadith: Uthman b. Abu al-‘As Al-Thaqafi reported that he made a complaint of pain to Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) that he felt in his body at the time he had become Muslim. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said: Place your hand at the place where you feel pain in your body and say Bismillah (in the name of Allah) three times and seven times A’udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru (I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear).— Sahih Muslim 2202

Explanation: The Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught us what to recite when in pain. Reciting ‘Bismillah’ is powerful because it invokes Allah’s name, which can remove anything harmful. The accompanying dua asks for Allah’s mercy and protection from evil, acknowledging His power.

Whenever you’re in pain, recite these two duas, placing your hand on the area of discomfort, whether it’s a headache, toothache, or knee pain. Inshallah, if Allah wills, your pain may disappear quickly, but if it persists, trust in Allah’s plan and seek His forgiveness with the dua for forgiveness. Here are a few tips for good health apart from the good health dua.

The Diet

Diet plays a key role in making or breaking your body. Eat natural and clean things like vegetables, fruits, meat, wheat, and rice. Avoid packed and canned foods as much as possible.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) liked dates and milk; both were part of his daily diet. You should drink a glass of milk daily and recite the dua for milk after it. Water is essential to sustain life. Stay hydrated all the time.

The Sleep

Sleeping at night and waking up in the morning positively affect the mind and body. You will feel the energy of waking up in the morning and have the whole day to complete daily tasks. Here is the sleeping dua and the best dua for waking up.

At the same time, a person who wakes up late in the morning feels its adverse effects on health and suffers from anxiety and depression. He also has a short day to complete the daily task.

Exercise

With the rise of the internet, people are becoming more health conscious. It would help to have an active lifestyle by engaging in regular physical activities like swimming, cycling, or weight training.

Our morning routines should include yoga, meditation, and stretching to improve physical and mental health. Here is the dua for laziness, which you should recite whenever you feel lazy.

Avoid harmful habbits

This body is given to us by Allah, and it will return to him after we die. Therefore, we should take care of our bodies and avoid engaging in things that can cause harm to them. You can see that smoking cigarettes and vapes have become a fashion among teenagers. It slowly harms your health and is the first step towards drug and alcohol consumption. Here is the reason why Muslims don’t drink alcohol.

Stay clean

We should maintain our inner and outer health by bathing and brushing our teeth daily. A Muslim must clean himself with water after answering nature’s call. Here is the dua for entering the bathroom.

Spritual Well-being

As Muslims, we must perform Salah five times a day. We recommend going the extra mile and offering the Tahajjud prayer along with the dua for Tahajjud. Reciting the Fajr dua after Fajr Salah contributes to spiritual well-being and mental peace.

Wrap up

Health is the most precious thing after character and Taqwa. You won’t realize the importance of good health until you lose it. We would recommend you should recite the dua for good health daily and follow the above mentioned steps to maintain good health.
